Upcoming Clinics

Liz Barnard is offering two clinics this month.

On February 21st she is offering a Trail Clinic. Sue Svendsen will be adding her expertise. The first session is from 9:00 to Noon, this will be an Introduction to Obstacles. For those of you who are new to working trail obstacles this is the place to start. For those who have done trail before, this may be a great way to refine some of the obstacles. From 1:00 to 4:00 will be work on Riding the Course. This is for those horse and rider combinations that are ready to work on navigating between obstacles and working to make the course flow. The WAHSET course will be used. Each session will be $25.00.

February 28th will be an Open Clinic. It will start at 9:00 with Showmanship. At 11:00 will be Rail Work. Lunch is planned for 1:30 to 3:00, then Patterns from 3:00 until 5:00. Lunch is a little late, so bring snacks for a little something after Showmanship.

Dress warm! The arena gets a little chilly on winter days. Spring is a little bit away.

Here are a few upcoming horse activities. These are things that Dennis and I participate in and we are having a ball so I’m inviting you to come join us.

There is sorting every Thursday at the Silver Buckle at 7:00. Sign up starts at 6:00. $20 for 3 goes and we are usually done by 9:00 or 9:30. This is an easy and friendly bunch with some really good cow work.

This Friday, the 13th, Silver Buckle is offering a class to introduce your horse to cows. This will include some basic sorting stuff. The cost for this lesson is $20 per horse. Call Maryjo at 360-260-8932 to reserve a spot.

On February 21st there will be a sorting Clinic and on the 28th is a Sorting Jackpot. Call Maryjo on these also to get the particulars and to reserve your spot.

All of these are great activities to get you and your horse in shape for spring.

It is coming!!!! I can see my lilac bushes coming to life. I know the snow has been pretty but I am ready for spring.

See in the arena,

Jody
